		Ἐπὶ Μηνοφάντου τοῦ Σόλονος,
		μηνὸς Ἀπελλαίου ς´ ἀπιόντος·
		Ἰόλλη Μενελάου.
Inscription Translation
“In the year when Menophantos, son of Solon, held office, on the sixth day from the end of the month Apellaios, (died) Iolle, daughter of Menelaos.”

Description

Cinerarium of marble with a roof-shaped lid. The inscription is written on the lid.

Comments

1 Σόλονος: read Σόλωνος.

3 Ἰόλλη (more usual: Ἰόλη): the related male name is Ἰόλλας (on the name see O. Masson, OGS 1, p. 234). On both names see my commentary on TAM V 3, 1509.
