Description

Fragment of a wall mosaic; letters formed of beige tesserae are set in a field of bright blue ones, bordered above and below with horizontal rows of beige and black.

Comments

The restored formula has many parallels in the Synagogue inscriptions. On its meaning see the literature referred to in SEG 46, 1518; SEG 48, 1471; and Ameling’s commentary.
