1 cf. Sardis VII 1, no. 17, 2: γυμνασίῳ γερουσι[ακῷ]. The Ἡράκλειος γερουσία was probably the γερουσία of the Ἡράκλειον γυμνάσιον, the latter being known, e.g., in Sebennytos (SB 1, 1106: οἱ ἐκ τοῦ γυμνασίου τοῦ Ἡρακλείου Μακεδόνες, etc.); cf. Ἡρακλείου γυμνασιάρχου (BCH 1925, p. 81, no. 8, Delphi).
2–3 Probably Σά[λ(ουιος) Ῥο]υφε̣ῖνος. Rufinus was perhaps γυμνασίαρχος τῶν γερόντων (cf. Sardis VII 1, no. 8, 52).
