Konuk 2012, pp. 49–50; Naster’s (1965) Massive Style; Carradice’s (1987) Early Style; Nimchuck’s (2000) Type B. Somewhat worn or struck with worn die, details obscured. This coin was found in a recess of the Lydian fortfication, beneath debris from the Persian sack of the city, see Cahill and Kroll 2005; analysis of the date of the sack of Sardis in Wallace 2016.
