    Description

Small thick-walled body fragment of a lydion. Neck of vessel is black. Differently sized bands of black at the shoulder and belly. Streaky black near (missing) base. It looks as if a slice was purposely broken off the belly, perhaps to obtain better access for breaking off the [missing] foot, which could have served effectively as a stopper.

    Cf. LATW, p. 479–80, cat. nos. 9597.
